We know the paint and coatings sector has a significant effect on the life of the planet<\/strong>. It is therefore urgent to reduce<\/strong> our impact<\/strong> in an intelligent way, within a time period and with discernment that is useful to ensure the delicate balance between innovation<\/strong> and conservation<\/strong>. EU Ecolabel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An ecological quality label of the European Union (EU Ecolabel) which distinguishes products<\/strong> and services<\/strong> that, while ensuring high performance standards, are characterised by a lower environmental impact<\/strong> during the entire life cycle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

EPD \u00ae<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/em>Environmental Product Declaration<\/em> (EPD) \u2013 an internationally valid environmental declaration based on the LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT<\/strong> (LCA) methodology. This methodology is governed by the standards ISO 14040-44, which aim to quantify the environmental impact of a product\u2019s life cycle<\/strong>, from the extraction of the raw materials to ultimate waste disposal, determining the level of energy consumption, use of raw materials, atmospheric emissions, quantity of waste generated and the wastewater discharge in bodies of water relative to the product under review. It is a tool which provides information regarding impact that is increasingly requested in announcements and competitive tenders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Carbon Footprint<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The carbon footprint<\/strong> is a parameter that indicates metric tons of CO2<\/sub> equivalent and allows us to estimate the impact<\/strong> on the climate in terms of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout the product life cycle. The analysis follows the GHG Protocol Product Life Cycle Accounting and Reporting Standard<\/em>, among the main reference standards for the products.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Certification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our A+ classification<\/strong> is based on strict tests governed by the European standard ISO 16000. This classification, a mandatory label in France, assesses both the volatile organic compounds (VOC)<\/strong> content of the liquid product, and the total volatile organic compounds (TVOC)<\/strong> emitted in an indoor environment after applying the product, paying particular attention to substances such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, toluene, tetrachloroethylene, xylene, trimethylbenzene, dichlorobenzene, ethylbenzene, butoxyethanol and styrene.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
